How He teaches me to have ikhlas

Somthing i wish to share here,

1stly, do u understand what ikhlas means? "ni ikhlas dari i" kata2 ni biasa di dengar kan?

wat does actually ikhlas means? here how God teach me how to be ikhlas.

here it goes.

last time i always face with financial difficulties. always in a state of not enuf money, dapat duit, "hilang" g2 mcm je.

i went to a mosque and listen to what the ustad preach. the topic discussed was donation. in short, he said

"Make donation and u will never be poor.and every donation, He will in return give u 10x of wat u donate."

i asked myself, i already shortage of money. how donation can help. the ustad go on and explain abt setan will wisper to u that "donation will make u poor" because u see the money(ur money) depleting. well just try to evercome tat bad wisper and yes, i make some donation.tis was hmm, 5-6 yrs ago i tink. haha.

and i dunt like it. because i dunt see im not getting any benefit. tis time i failed to see tat i was on a state of unwillingness. then after sometime, i overheard another ustad tat says

"things tat u know its good but its just difficult to practice, just do it and soon it will become ikhlas."

i tried to practice tat.

Soon, tis is wat i get.when i return home, i was given a free treat from my fren. i told myself, rezki. alhamdulilah. i still havent relise anyting at tat point of time. and the amount i donated is only 50cent(bare in mind, im still in secondary sch).

then my life begins to change abit. the more i donate, the more i get, not in the form of only food. knowldge, good frens.. etc2.. then i realise the benefit of donation. i tried to recall, "He gives back 10x in return ." the day after, i donated 1$ in the hope of 10x in return.i didnt get anything, and i had tat intention for abt a week. i started to question myself. where i go wrong? after a while, its fated for me to sit in a class where tassawuf was being tought. and it was highlited tat must do everything for only of His purpose and not wanting His rewards bcos we're His slave and a slave owns nothing.so dunt expect anything in return.

there was a time, that i gave a donation and tried no to have any thought of reward in mind. just sole purpose of worship. i donated 40cents.put the coins, shut my mind, lillaahita 'alaah, and walk off.. tat nite i went to my frens hse to chill out, fated for me to loiter arnd his doorstep. out came his neighbour who handed me a pack of hangbao, cinese new year. open it up later on and found out that it contain $4. impresing. 40cents, $4 in return. "10x God will repay back"

and an interesting happen with just a swift of different niat. at tat point of time, im expecting reward after given $4. so initial niat was lillaahita'aalaah, but after receiving $4, i forget abt the purpose, tat very split seconds,my niat changed from donating because of only of His purpose, to doing things and expeecting a reward,

guess wat,

i returned home and found out my shoe which cost about $40 lost..!!

interesting huh..

from here u can see tat do thing because of onli Him, u will get wat was promise, "10x the reward". if of any other purpose or intention, He knows how to deal with u.

then after tat incident, i realise the benefit of to donate and shut my mind off of any reasons, no1 knows, no1 sees, only me and Him knows. didnt expect anythnig in return.and i njoys rewards mashallah only God knows.

i then understand what "ikhlas" means. refuse to accept "thank u" from any1. accepting "thank u" means wanting somthing in return,tat is want som1 to say "thank u". if we give a gift and expecting the other party to say "thank u" then better check on our niat again.

Give gifts for a "thank u" or give gifts for His purpose..

Another thing many of us didnt relize is to put on our niat during donation, many of us just donate because "its a good deed" then question this to urself, wats the different between a beleiver and a non-believer giving the same donation? they have the same purpose(to help) and same heart(for good deed), the diff lies in the niat, we need to really look deeply on the purpose we donate is bcos of Him,and nothing else(shut everything up).

God has a very unique way of doing stuff, He is the most smartest by the way. God plans eh, very interesting , how He teaches me some knowledge indirectly. Mashallah.
